History of Establishment

The Red Crescent Center was established at the university in Dey 1392 (December 2013–January 2014). To date, the center has been active in recruiting students for rescue and relief training courses, as well as organizing health and wellness camps within the university.

About the Center

Objectives of Formation:

• Training for Emergencies: Recruiting and training students to prepare them for providing essential relief and social services to society, particularly in the event of unforeseen natural disasters.
• Promoting Altruism: Strengthening the spirit of participation and philanthropy among student youth, and fostering empathy between the university community and various sectors of society, especially those in need or affected by crises.
• Cultural Dialogue: Collaborating in the dialogue of civilizations and cultures.
• Student Empowerment: Expanding student participation in decision-making processes regarding matters that affect them.
• Post-Graduation Engagement: Creating a foundation for continued cooperation between students and the Red Crescent after graduation.
• Raising Awareness: Endeavoring to clarify and introduce the humanitarian duties and goals of the Red Crescent Society through university-level educational and research programs.
• Voluntary Collaboration: Facilitating voluntary cooperation in extracurricular activities and health services for students. In this regard, separate agreements have been signed with the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Ministry of Health and Medical Education, and Islamic Azad University. These agreements were concluded in implementation of Clause 7 of Article 3 of the Statute of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran (ratified on 1989/05/29 and amended on 1996/03/17) to enhance the participation of academics—particularly students—in social activities and services required by the Youth Organization of the Red Crescent, as well as to utilize the educational and research capacities of universities and higher education institutions to achieve the goals of the Red Crescent Society of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
